Everyday Explorations
Chris Corso, originally from the south of France and now based in the UK, is a passionate photographer seldom seen without a camera in hand. Whether documenting the streets, the people he meets, or intimate personal moments, Chris’s work is driven by a keen curiosity about the world around him. In this interview, he shares his photographic journey, his reflections on the Rollei 35AF, and the stories behind the scenes that inspire him:
When did you first start shooting film, and why do you still shoot film in the digital age?
I started shooting film more than 10 years ago, along with shooting digital. When shooting digital, I spent a lot of time editing my pictures—too much time. For me, shooting film is a more spontaneous workflow. I develop and scan all my black and white film at home and spend only a little time editing, focusing on brightness, contrast, and a bit of sharpness. That's it. The whole process is really rewarding and brings some good surprises every time.
What is your favorite theme or subject to photograph and why?
I love street photography in general. As a skateboarder, I have always loved hanging around in the city and exploring. I enjoy meeting random people, looking for cool architecture, and discovering new places. I nearly always bring my camera with me, so landscape and nature photography are also always great fun.

What about the Rollei 35AF do you enjoy?
I was looking for a small camera I can bring everyday and anywhere, like to music festivals, concerts and travels. A new camera with autofocus, auto exposure and manual mode, a sharp lens, as a point-and-shoot this is just incredible! Plus, we need more new film cameras, so I couldn't help but support MiNT.
What is something that the Rollei 35AF offers that allows you to approach photography differently?
The compact design and autofocus make it very easy to use and spontaneous in the streets. I also like the possibility of having a full manual mode, which helps a lot in tricky situations.
